Dropping you a few lines to let you know how much i enjoyed the cooking class last Sunday.
It is so refreshing to have an instructor that is so enthusiastic about the subject and so knowledgeable. It was so helpful for chef to let us "get our hands dirty" and wanting us to get right in and learn...it was truly hands on learning...I would recommend this class and this cooking school to anyone interested in really learning... I look forward to many more.

I truly enjoyed the time spent in your lovely home and I feel I learned a lot. You and your husband have a great thing going and it is a gift to Panama.
The service you provide is first class and a lot of fun. And with your prices reasonable, you will do very well.

I recently attended the Asian Cooking Classes in El Valle. First time attending any cooking class WOW! how informative, delicious and fun these were. I highly recommend any of Glenn classes. Not only did I learn how to cook but also the answers to... why do they use this? How come they do that?

Glenn Gamboa's cooking classes at The Three Sisters is a must for anyone truly interested in expanding their cooking skills. Both amature and professional will benefit from his hands on teaching and expertise in the kitchen. I have successfully followed his easy instructions in my home kitchen with great results. I loved hearing about the history of the food and the customs that accompany it.  I look forward hungrily to more and highly recommend these enjoyable and highly informative classes.

Why a class at the Three Sisters Cooking School?

The Three Sisters Global Gourmet Cooking School, located in the charming Panamanian Tropical Rainforest village of El Valle de Anton, is a do it yourself culinary academy that teaches the easily learned techniques and nuances of the professional chef/gourmand. You'll physically prepare, create and sample gourmet Chinese, Mexican, German, Italian, French, Thai and Vietnamese recipes from the pages of the world's ever expanding global cookbook. The often flaunted five, four, three, two or however many starred gourmet meals served in any of our shrinking worlds gourmet restaurants is a usually unachievable benchmark. The home gourmand or gourmet does not have access to the professional appliances, equipment or products that his starred counterpart does.

The Three Sisters American Gourmet Cooking School in Panama will teach you to prepare gourmet recipes for gourmet parties and gourmet meals in your own home, in your own kitchen, in your own comfort zone using the appliances and equipment you already have. The Three Sisters Global Gourmet Cooking School is the only Panamanian culinary school of its type, focused at the English speaking gourmand, with courses that address and teach a variety of ethnic gourmet cuisines. In addition to the classes listed on our website we also design and offer custom tailored menus and classes such as gourmet holiday desserts, hors d' oeuvres, canapes and regional American cuisine.

The lecture portions of the classes will cover the history, geography and social mores of each region and how these cultural components relate to and formed the respective national foodways. You’ll find yourself saying “ah so that’s why the Italians and Greeks use so much olive oil” because they had no domestic animal to render fat from and the Mediterranean climate and geography are perfect for growing olive trees. We’ll discuss such topics as how Catherine de Medici brought forks to the court of Henri II, or how the diasporas of New World cultivars changed the diet of the planet. Did you know the dog known as the Chow, the one with the purple tongue, was bred as a food source in early China, or that the guinea pig is the meat of choice in Peru. Or that the inventor of ramen noodles recently died and that in 2005 over 86 billon servings were consumed; eat your heart out McDonalds! These are just a sampling of the factoids dished up at The Three Sisters.

Classes are currently $50 per four hour session and fees include materials, a comprehensive learning guide, lots of sampling and maybe a little cheap wine. Classes occur as enough participants enroll so if you have a group that would like a certain class we can do it, or if you want a certain menu we can do it.

Private in home one to one instruction is available in Panama City or any other location in the republic. Glenn will come to your house, bringing all the needed accoutrements and foodstuffs, to teach you and your maid how to prepare restaurant quality dishes in your own kitchen. These six hour intensive session are priced at $300 plus the cost of foods. This class will teach you to produce a full repertoire of distinct regionally tempered ethnic food in a physically exhaustive, mentally challenging format that will allow you to impress anyone you entertain or cook for. You can also create your own menu for instruction.

Know someone who's getting married soon, well forget the toaster, now you can give the newlyweds something that will last forever and you'll always be remembered for. Send the bride to the Three Sisters, or better yet send the whole bridal party, for a truly memorable shower. The Three Sisters will also come to your location if desired for the party of a lifetime.

To busy to cook? The Three Sisters will come to your home and prepare five days of dinner for 4 people for just $300 plus the cost of the foods with your choice of menu. These meals can be frozen or served during the next week. Have lots of family coming but short of time here's the service and the secret you been looking for.
